I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. – Philippians 4:13
Living through a remodel is hard. Living through a do-it-yourself remodel with a baby and a toddler is even harder. Ultimately, you are responsible for the delays, the setbacks, loss of weekends, stress, the costs of time, family, and friendships. Does this balance the cost savings long term? While we are truly blessed to have the family know-how and ability to renovate for such a large-scale basement remodel project; is it truly worth this year long process? After making yet another detailed list, I am still unsure. My husband thinks it is the right thing to do, and for now I need to trust him. Especially since we are already in the thick of it and there is no backing out now. I guess all we can do is continue to forge ahead as planned.
God, I hope I live long enough to enjoy the fruits of this labor.
